Samsung Invests in Multi-million Rand ICT Project in KZN School

Pioneering Innovation Hub showcased at unveiling ceremony at Adams College in Kwa-Zulu Natal JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – 25 February 2020 – Valentines Day 2020 in Mbumbulu in Kwa-Zulu Natal got the hearts of educators, learners and parents beating for all the right reasons. Samsung South Africa unveiled an ICT Innovation Hub that will benefit the community for years to come.  Adams College became the proud recipient of a R2,5 million facility that will create access to computer literacy, the internet, basic IT and coding skills in remote communities. Sony's new mobile devices focuses heavily on Creativity

On Monday morning the 24th of February Sony held its keynote round about 9:30am local time. It was clear from the onset Sony is focusing on content creators and wants to immerse you in the complete experience. They started off with the announcement of the Sony Xperia 1 MKII 5G that features a 21:9 4k 6.5 Oled display a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G  and a 4000mha battery. The device camera system borrows from the Sony Alpha series and incorporate AF/AE at 20fps and Eye focus. The hardware consist of a triple camera setup , a 12-megapixel Zeiss-branded lenses 24mm, f/1.7 lens an 82-degree field of view, a 70mm f/2.4 lens with a 34-degree field of view, and a 16mm f/2.2 lens with a 124-degree. For the zoom optics a  3D time-of-flight sensor is included for the 2 times optic zoom. For the selfie enthusiast a  8-megapixel f/2.0 selfie lens is included upfront. South African Students Go Global with Samsung and Vega Design School

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – 19 February, 2020 – Samsung has collaborated with  Vega Design School  on a competition that gives young South African designers the opportunity to showcase their impressive design skills. The students were invited to create content that will be used as  Samsung Galaxy themes  that will be loaded on to the Galaxy Store. The winners, Dean Sartor, Kyle Sartor, Mohapi Polo and Liam Cuffley, will now have their artwork made available to an international audience. Samsung Announces Fourth Quarter and FY 2019 Results

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – February 13, 2020 – Samsung has reported financial results for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2019 and the fiscal year 2019. The Company posted R737.87 billion in consolidated quarterly revenue and R88.22 billion in quarterly operating profit. For 2019, Samsung reported 2.839 trillion in revenue and R342.19 billion in operating profit. Fourth quarter profit dropped from a year earlier due to the continued fall in memory chip prices and weakness in display panels. Improving demand for memory used in servers and mobile products, as well as solid sales of flagship smartphones, helped ease the decline in overall earnings. The Memory Business reported a year-on-year decline in profit as DRAM prices continued its downward trend despite rising shipments. However, earnings increased from the previous quarter, underpinned by increasing demand from data centers and other major applications as well as cost reduction. The logic chip business
