Like so many stories these days, it started with the pandemic. When COVID-19 created the need for remote working and social distancing, companies everywhere were forced to rethink their physical workplaces. How many people could they fit into the building? How could they better utilise the space to ensure the safety of those who used it? To answer these questions, companies – and specifically their real estate departments – turned to technology.
