VodaPay launches new Deposit and Send Money services on the super app

Two new Deposit and Send Money services have been added to the VodaPay super app. The innovation is the latest step in Vodacom Financial and Digital Lifestyle Services quest to make financial inclusion a reality for all South Africans.     “VodaPay’s new Deposit and Send Money services support our intention to accelerate digital and financial inclusion. Both banked and unbanked users can deposit and/or send money from their VodaPay Wallet, securely, cost-effectively and instantly. Vodacom launches Get A Gig, connecting youth to the Gig Economy

South Africa has one of the highest youth unemployment rates in the world. In a bid to give youth a fighting chance in this tough economy, Vodacom has launched Get-a-Gig through NXT LVL with a three-year vision of connecting 1 Million Youth to jobs or gigs by 2024. The latest employment data, released by Statistics South Africa (Stats SA), highlights the dire state of the country’s economy. The data shows that unemployment rose to 35.3% from 34.9% in the first quarter of 2022 compared to the last quarter of 2021. This is by far the highest level since the beginning of the  Quarterly Labour Force Survey (QLFS)  Quarterly Labour Force Survey (QLFS) in 2008. In the four months since its launch, VodaPay has garnered around 1.7 million downloads, with businesses of all sizes across South Africa getting on board to reap the benefits of this innovative digital platform. Vodacom enables customers to give back through ConnectforChange donation platform

As South Africa heads into the festive season after a tough 2021, many are looking to embrace the spirit of giving to those who need help the most. It is in this spirit that Vodacom has launched  ConnectforChange , a donation platform which enables customers to donate their airtime and/or cash to a worthy cause, with the aim of connecting beneficiaries for a better future.   As part of its commitment to create an inclusive society and improve lives, the  ConnectforChange  platform will enable customers to make a donation via the My Vodacom App; through *103# USSD string as well as via the newly-launched VodaPay super app. Customers also have the option to make a cash donation via EFT or *Bank Deposit.
