Acer Predator is going big at rAge expo 2022 with exclusive tech and a R130 000 gaming setup giveaway

Predator, Acer’s gaming division, is headed to South Africa’s annual award-winning mega event for online gaming and digital entertainment – the rAge expo. The expo will take place from 9 to 11 December 2022 at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand. Predator’s latest tech will be on display, including the impressive new Helios 300 3D gaming laptop. Tech enthusiasts also stand a chance to win the ultimate gaming setup, worth R130 000, by participating
in Predator’s Ultimate Gamer challenge.

Described as the “ultimate escapist destination”, at rAge, tech enthusiasts can fully immerse themselves in the world of gaming gear, digital lifestyle products, creative arts, cosplay, and more. Acer Predator will be providing a fully immersive experience for gamers at its stand this year. With partners like Intel, Goliath Gaming, and ACGL, there’s no doubt the stand will be packed with top-notch tech and quality entertainment.

What to expect from Acer Predator at rAge 2022

One of the major attractions at the stand this year is Predator’s brand-new 3D gaming laptop, the Predator Helios 300 Spatiallabs Edition. While Predator will have an assortment of tech on display, this one is sure to steal the show.

Gamers will get to experience the wonders of stereoscopic 3D gaming on a crystal clear 15.6 inch display. The Helios 300 Spatiallabs Edition comes kitted with two stereo cameras which are fitted with image sensors that constantly track the position and movement of your eyes and head for optimum game interaction. The powerful gaming laptop also features GeForce RTX 3080 graphics and a 12th Gen Intel Core i9 Processor, as well as next-gen shading and driver tech that enable games to be rendered in true-to-life depth. Gamers won’t want to miss a chance to play around with this immersive gaming marvel, which isn’t available in South Africa yet.

The Predator Ultimate Gamer challenge

Aside from trying out the Helios 300 3D gaming laptop, gamers also stand a chance to win the ultimate gaming setup worth R130 000. There are two ways to get to the finals and win this epic prize.

To qualify at rAge, contestants must attend the expo on 10 December and visit the Acer Predator stand, where they will compete in a variety of short-form gaming competitions on Predator laptops. Predator’s Ultimate Gamer will be chosen based on their performance across all of these games. The best performers of the day will then qualify for the finals, which will take place on 11 December, where the ultimate champion will be crowned.

To qualify online, contestants must participate in at least one of three online challenges for the chance to win a lucky entry into the finals. If a contestant participates in these challenges, they are automatically entered into the draw. The more contestants participate, the higher their chances of winning, as their names will be entered multiple times. For the first online challenge, contestants must participate in a Predator Ultimate Gamer Mini-Cup. For the second online challenge, contestants must post a photo of their current gaming setup using #PredatorUltimateGamer on their favourite social platform. Finally, the third online challenge has contestants participating in a Predator Logo Hunt, where they must find all five Predator logos on the ACGL platform. The winning participant will get a free weekend pass to rAge and guaranteed entry into the Predator Ultimate Gamer final.

To stay up to date, keep an eye on the ACGL and South African Predator gaming social media accounts.
