FlySafair shares its love of flying with future generations by launching a brand new competition for schools
Low-cost carrier FlySafair is giving away
10 return domestic flights to three schools ahead of Youth Month. The School
Booster Competition invites schools around the country to share in the airline’s
love of flying by submitting their motivations for consideration.
“It can be a magical experience for a
child stepping onto a plane for the first time,” says Kirby Gordon, Chief
Marketing Officer at FlySafair. “For those in the aviation industry, it’s that
childlike wonder that never really leaves you and we’d like to introduce young
South Africans to the excitement that is flying. So whether it’s a maths
Olympiad in another city, a sporting tournament at the coast or a debating
competition in the next province, we want to offer schools the opportunity to
get there safely, hassle-free and on time.”
The School Booster competition opens on
Monday, 20 May 2024, and closes on Monday, 3 June 2024. Entries can be
completed by parents, teachers, members of the community or learners who are
older than 18. Entrants will need to submit a motivation with their entry form
and the school principal will have to consent to the entry and competition’s
terms and conditions. Eligible entries will also need to include the total
number of learners, whether the school is private or public, and the
principal’s contact details. To enter, visit flysafair.co.za. The three winning schools will each receive 10 return domestic flights
for their learners and accompanying staff members.
“Over the years, we’ve been able to
support different sectors of South African life from art and music to small
businesses and sport. We felt it was time to give back to a younger generation
and what better way to do so than to three local schools.”
